Meet the Team

Teifion Davies, Managing Director
Qualified as a Management Services Practitioner in 1980, Teifion had been involved in various management functions before establishing BSS in 1983. With Rob, he helped to design and develop Macs (Modular Administrative Control System) which has recently been re-developed into eM1.

Zena Davies, Financial Director
Zena joined BSS in 1986. She became a Director and Company Secretary when the company became limited in 1999. Zena is now responsible for managing all the Financial and Administrative functions of BSS.

Rob Jones, Business Development Director
Rob has over 20 years experience developing and implementing software solutions across a wide variety of industries. Since becoming Business Development Director in October 2004, Rob has concentrated on exploring ways of generating new business for BSS. Rob qualified as a Prince2 practitioner in December 2004.

Matthew Daniel, Networks Manager
Matthew joined the BSS hardware department in 2002 with a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. As a Microsoft Certified Professional and Certified Allied Telesyn Engineer, Matthew is responsible for Windows and non-eM1 based customer support.

Adam Dewitt, PC & Network Support Engineer
Adam joined BSS in 2004 and has recently completed an NVQ in Installing & Supporting Information Technology Systems. As a Microsoft Certified Professional, Adam assists with hardware related support and is responsible for the general housekeeping of the department.

Nick Longar, PC & Network Support Engineer
Nick joined BSS in 2005 on a post graduate placement as a PC & Network engineer before returning to University to complete BSc Honors in Computing Studies. After graduating in July 2006, Nick now joins BSS hardware team as a full time engineer. His responsibilities include Windows and network support.

Mark Evans, Software Manager
Mark joined BSS in 1996 after successfully completing a HND in Computer Science. He became Software Manager in 2004 and is now a qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner. Mark oversees all of the development work of next generation eM1 as well as supporting customers.

Jamie Richards, Project Leader
Jamie joined BSS in 1999 after successfully completing a HND in Computer Systems at Swansea Institute of Higher Education. Jamie is one of the original members of the eM1 development team and has been heavily involved in the development of the system from design to implementation & support.

Stephen Jones, Project Leader
Steve joined BSS in 1999 after successfully completing a HND in Computer Studies. A key developer of eM1 and responsible for much of the telephone support provided, Steve has played a major role in the development of many modules specific to the Fuel industry. Steve qualified as a PRINCE2 practitioner in 2005.

Jason Hirst, Software Developer
Jason joined BSS in 2006 with 20 years experience in software development for large industrial sectors, including steel fabrications and building supplies, among others. Jason is involved with the development of the new generation eM1 product.

David Johns, Software Developer
After graduating with a degree in Computing and Information Systems, David joined BSS in 2006. He is now a part of the eM1 development team.

Rhian Davies, New Media & Marketing Developer
Rhian joined BSS in 2004 and is currently on a KTP placement with BSS involved with managing the company's marketing activities. With a degree in Interactive Media she also gets involved with the design, development and management of websites, and is a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner.

Joanne Richards, Marketing Developer
Joanne has been with BSS since 2003. She is heavily involved in the marketing activities at BSS, with a focus on generating new business, as well as designing websites. Jo is also in charge of the production of Computer Based Training for eM1.

Gaynor Davies, Administrator
Gaynor joined BSS in 2005 to take charge of the mailing activities provided by BSS. She is also responsible for the HR duties at BSS as well as document management and other administrative tasks. Gaynor is currently working towards a Modern Apprenticeship in Business Administration.
