Business Continuity Planning

What is it?
Business Continuity planning looks at all problems and issues that could affect your company, including major disasters, like fire, down to theft and accidental damage. From this it is considered how business could be made possible to continue if something did happen. A list is drawn up considering how likely it is for each to happen and depending on the likelihood of disaster and available budget a plan is set in place.
A Business Continuity Plan could include anything from ensuring back-ups are taken off site every night, or having BSS store back-ups in our fire proof safe, to having a back-up server and PCs ready to be brought into action when needed.
